Abstract.
In the article the management structure of agricultural production and closely-related branches of economy in the second half of the 1970s - at the beginning of the 1980s is considered. Special attention is paid to the drawbacks of the system of agro-industrial complex management: the absence of the necessary centralization of the management system of agro-industrial complex, parallelism, the duplication of managerial functions at the level of political bodies, cumbersome executive personnel. The main suggestions and projects of that period on the reorganization and reformation of the prevalent management system are analyzed.
