Abstract.
The article examines the ethical conception of the German philosopher of the first half of the XX century N. Hartmann developed within the framework of general philosophical schemes. The paper justifies the actuality of his approach to ethics, the distinction of ethics and morals. Aiming at the synthesis of ancient and modern principles Hartmann’s ethics is considered to be quite topical under the pluralization of theoretical and practical approaches to the interpretation of the sources of morality.
