Abstract. This article is devoted to identifying the features of dialogic interaction in the concert play “Intermezzo in Memory of Brahms” (1980) by Sergei Slonimsky. Particular attention is paid to the aesthetic conception of the work, which distinguishing feature, according to the author of the article, is a harmonious combination of memorial semantics and the individual traits of Slonimsky’s language as a composer. The artistic realization of this idea is considered at the level of the interpretation of the genre, the process of forming, the specifics of musical language and the methods of sound space organization.
