Abstract. The notion “fundamentalism” is considered in relation to everyday conceptions. Up to date, the layer of everyday conceptions about this notion especially contained on the Internet as the representation of the everyday consciousness of the modern Russians has not been involved in the studies of fundamentalism. The complex analysis of researches on the topic of fundamentalism and the comparative analysis of the scientific and everyday conceptions of fundamentalism are carried out, and the determinants of conceptual content in the Russian people’s consciousness are revealed.
