INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE EAST EUROPEAN STUDIES IN GERMANY DURING THE WEIMAR REPUBLIC PERIOD

Abstract. The article considers the period of the revival and further development of institutions for the East European studies in Germany during the Weimar Republic period. The characteristic of centers, workshops, institutes, journals and societies for studying Russia and Eastern Europe is given. According to the author, the foundations of studying the East of Europe, which were laid in the 20s, contributed to rapid development in this direction during the “Cold War”.
