Abstract.
In the article a necessity to consider the demographic development of the town through the lenses of the transformation of social relations is theoretically grounded. The analysis of changes occurring in the nature of marriage and family relations is carried out; the factors of migration influence on birth rate are identified. The importance of the development of population forecasts aimed at optimizing the reproduction of population and regulating marriage and family relations at town level, improving the quality of life and the social health of families is shown.
