CINEMA AS MODEL OF TRANSFIGURATION

Abstract.
Under the conditions of scientific and technical civilization cinema can be understood as space for the realization of myth. In this status it introduces such mode of human life as transfiguration. Transfiguration is a return of things to their prototypes. A myth is a narration-presentation about such return. In different epochs myth finds appropriate means of expressing, realizing itself, to which we can refer, for example, ritual church service, theatre. Since the XX century cinema becomes such a means.
