Abstract.
Basing on archival sources the article considers the organization and work of evacuation hospitals in the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the base and conditions for the reception of wounded soldiers, the problems that were encountered during the reception of the wounded and in the work of the evacuation hospitals. In addition, the author identifies the facts of the unfair performance of duties by the officials. A special contribution to the work of the hospitals made by enterprises and workers that not only provided financial assistance, but also worked free in the hospitals is revealed. Particular attention is paid to the following issues of the evacuation hospitals - the lack of staff, medicines, political and educational work.
