TYPE OF THE PROVINCIAL SOVIET LAWYER IN EARLY POSTWAR YEARS: ATTEMPT OF HISTORICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH

Abstract.
The article considers as a source the biographies of the chairman and the deputy chairman of the Bar in Chelyabinsk region during postwar years. The thesis is revealed that in this period the representatives of two different types of “Soviet provincial lawyers” could work at the same time in the South Ural advocacy. It is mentioned that some weakening of control over the party affiliation of lawyers and the lack of qualified specialists were among the main reasons for the formation of the personnel structure of the governing bodies of the Bar in Chelyabinsk. The features of the formation of lawyers’ personnel structure and its governing bodies in the South Ural region and in the country as a whole during early postwar years are revealed.
