Abstract. The article considers the issue of the application of common law norms in the sphere of property relations within the Kryashen (baptized Tatar) land commune in the Volga-Ural region in the second half of the XIX - at the beginning of the XX century. The author by historical material shows the development of the collective and individual forms of using movable and immovable property within the patriarchal peasant family, and estimates the influence of social-economic changes in the country on these processes. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the role of family law influence on the social and economic life of the baptized Tatar population of the Volga and Ural regions.
