EPISTEMOLOGICAL FEATURES OF APPLICATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN HISTORICAL RESEARCHES

Abstract. The article considers the impact of the computer and the Internet on the practice of historical research. The influence of search queries, the transformation of research practices when creating a database, the representation of the results, communicative practices in social media are studied. The author reveals negative effects for methodology when applying electronic databases, imaging, and replicating ready-made solutions in the sphere of IT. The paper actualizes the issues of historical narrative future, the principles of the Internet searches in the conditions of transition from intuitive and analytical to formal and logical form, the changes of the evaluation criteria of the scientific significance of research.
