MODERN RELATIONS BETWEEN GAMBIA AND TAIWAN: FROM UNION TO SEVERANCE

Abstract. The article is devoted to a little-studied issue of international relations - the analysis of dialogue between Taiwan and Gambia at the present stage. As a result of the study of various areas of cooperation between two countries the author formulates the specificity of this union, its importance for the states, and considers reasons for a sudden severance of relations. The research contributes not only to the study of modern international relations but also to the scientific development of such an important aspect as the foreign-policy confrontation of China and Taiwan, which is manifested evidently in Africa.
