NOTION “STATE” IN CHEMISTRY

Abstract.
In the article the change of the content of the general scientific notion “state” at transition from one chemical theory to another is considered. The author proceeds from the assumption that the epistemological role of the state notion consists in the fact that it is an initial element of the reproduction in thought of the processes of the change of various objects. It is shown that the transformation of the notion of state in chemical theories is an expression of general scientific tendency to unite “corporeal” and “procedural” in scientific thinking.
