Abstract.
The article examines the level and nature of the representation of the basic ethnic groups of Perm region in mass media. According to the authors, the life of the aboriginal ethnic groups of the region is insufficiently covered in Internet-media, and the emotional tonality of the publications tends to a negative modus. Ethnoses-migrants on the regional Internet-portal in 80% of cases are represented in negative modality, which forms their negative image and promotes the aggravation of tension in inter-ethnic communications. The results acquired by the authors will be useful while developing information policy in the multi-ethnic region.
