CHANGES IN TERRITORIAL AND SECTORAL DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURE OF DAGESTAN IN THE 50S OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract.
The article shows the efforts of the authorities of Dagestan in the 1950s on the strengthening of the material-technical base of agriculture, further increase in cultivated areas, and the strengthening of the financial incentives of labour in the collective farms. Changes in the sectoral and zonal structure of agricultural production in the multiethnic region are traced; positive results, difficulties and unresolved problems in the increase of the gross yield of major crops and livestock production in the Republic are mentioned.
