PHILOSOPHY OF OSWALD SPENGLER: GESTALT AS FIGURE OF COGNITION

Abstract.
The article tells about the theoretical-cognitive meaning of the notion “gestalt” in the framework of the philosophical-historical experience of Oswald Spengler. The notion of gestalt is examined as the process of cognition, which is determined by differentiating nature and history and is disclosed at three theme levels: 1) the interpretation of the idea of “pure formation” of Heraclitus by Spengler; 2) the problem of symbolization; 3) relation between wakeful state and existence.
