Abstract.
The article reveals the issue of the influence of export on the development of arts and crafts in the 1920s. The author considers the complex process of folk art survival, the importance of export operations in the strengthening of the economic situation of the country and the entire system of producers’ cooperative, the dependence of cottage industry on market conditions, specific economic and social conditions, the consumer’s purchasing power and tastes.
