Abstract.
The article deals with the painting technique, creative principles and pictorial and world outlook qualities of P. I. Petrovichev. The influence of the specific pedagogic advice of I. I. Levitan on P. I. Petrovichev’s principles of painting is ascertained, continuity in the painting methods of the latter regarding the former is traced, and the features of innovation in P. I. Petrovichev’s approach to painting are stated. The author uses the method of the visual analysis of the works as she has skills of the professional graduated easel painter.
