Abstract.
The article reveals the main features inherent in society, which can be characterized as “new barbarism”. It is told that modern social processes have not only a positive but also a negative character; the paper attempts to reveal features inherent in the negative aspect of social life. Attention is focused on the fact that so-called “barbarism” is an ontological phenomenon that has been peculiar to the man during all the history of his existence.
