Abstract.
The article is devoted to the examination of the design of children’s illustrated magazines in Russia at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XXI century. The gnoseological side of the problem refers to the necessity of examining the design of children’s magazines, as their visual look and the change of compositional-graphic model at different stages of historical-cultural development have been studied insufficiently. As a result of the research significant transformations in the area of the design of children’s magazines, which have a progressive evolutional character due to keeping to the traditional peculiarities of design, are revealed.
