ESSENCE OF PHILOSOPHICAL CATEGORY “CIVILIZATION CHOICE”

Abstract.
In the article an attempt to formulate the meaning of the term “civilization choice” on the basis of its comparison with related concepts is made. The subjects, stages, as well as various aspects of choice, which local civilizations make, are analyzed. The author emphasizes the need for the complex use of the achievements of philosophy, history, political science and geopolitics for the deeper understanding of the essence of the studied category.
