VALUES AND PROBLEM OF DEMARCATION OF SCIENCES IN BADEN NEO-KANTIANISM

Abstract.
The article examines the specifics of understanding sciences in Baden Neo-Kantianism and the problem of their demarcation. The paper focuses on value as a source for the differentiation of humanities and natural sciences, considers the classification of sciences by W. Windelband, analyzes the methodological technique of triple gnosiological reduction by H. Rickert and his original classification of sciences. The author dwells on the specifics of differentiating sciences in Baden Neo-Kantianism into two basic groups according to research methods and goals, argues for the axiological peculiarity of the category “conception” in Baden Neo-Kantianism as a form of knowledge of the humanities.
