ROLE OF SPIRITUAL POETRY IN FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF TRADITIONAL NATIONAL VALUES

Abstract.
The paper considers spiritual poetry as a system of literary texts representing the value orientations of the Russian traditional society. The author identifies the role of spiritual poetry as a form of religious self-expression combining pre-Christian conceptions and Christian knowledge; as a means for the emotional cognition of the Christian world outlook; as a keeper of cultural information embodying the axiological conceptions of the Russian people accumulated in the linguo-cultural field “spirituality”’; as a method for the esthetic interpretation of events from the history of Church and the life of the Christian; as a quintessence of Russian vocal intonationality.
