FEATURES OF FORMING THE CODE OF HONOUR OF THE REICHSWEHR OFFICERS’ CORPS

Abstract. The article reveals the features of forming the code of honour of the Reichswehr officers’ corps in the Weimar Republic period (1918-1933). The principles of the search for new moral foundations of German officers in new social-political conditions are analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion about the successful construction of a new system of moral views within the German officers’ corps by using the Kaiser’s army heritage with adding new elements typical of the compact army of the Weimar Republic.
