Abstract. The article is devoted to the examination of the mutual influence of two pianists: Gottfried Galston and Ferruccio Busoni. If academic interest to the figure of the Italian master doesn’t fade away even to-date, the activity of the Austrian pianist G. Galston remains poorly explored because of the general lack of literature about him in Russian, and it demands thorough analysis. Thus the consideration of the creative figure of Galston in connection with the personality and activity of Busoni is topical.
