LONG WAVES IN PRE-INDUSTRIAL ECONOMICS: MAIN TENDENCIES OF HISTORICAL AND ECONOMIC STUDY

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the main tendencies of the study of long waves in the pre-industrial epoch. The formation of this direction, its place in the historiography of Kondratiev waves are considered. The analysis of discussions about the beginning of long waves in economics, the factors and mechanism of economic cycles in the pre-industrial epoch is presented. The author supposes that for the development of the major economic cycles conception the studies of the long waves of the pre-industrial economies of non-European countries, and also generalizing historiographical studies have the largest heuristic potential.
