Abstract.
In the article the author examines alienation as one of the causes inducing contemporary terrorism to existence. It is shown that terrorism is generated not by alienation itself, but by the process of an individual’s exit from the state of alienation. Considering alienation as one of the causes of terrorism appearance, the author thinks that taking measures to overcome alienation will contribute to the reduction of the number of people joining the ranks of terroristic organizations and finally the recession of the level of terroristic threat.
