Abstract.
The archive of N. N. Rimskaya-Korsakova, the wife and assistant of the composer N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, includes a significant number of letters to the figures of Russian and European art, in which the panorama of the musical life of Saint-Petersburg and Russia is widely presented. The marvelous musician, talented musical writer, Rimskaya-Korsakova acts as her husband’s biographer in her letters that is distinctly evident from her correspondence with the editor of the Russian Musical Newspaper N. F. Findeisen for the first time considered in the paper.
