Abstract.
The article deals with the issue of fuel supply to the enterprises, institutions and population of the town of Ishim during the Great Patriotic War. The ways of the production, transportation and distribution of such local types of fuel as firewood and peat are studied. The author grounds the opinion that the effective use of the limited fuel resources allowed solving the problems of the operation of the local economy and the life support of the town residents.
