Abstract.
In the article the approaches to the organization of Komsomol political studies after the death of I. V. Stalin are analyzed. The aspirations for overcoming dogmatism and the attempts to link the study of program material with life and the practice of communist construction are shown. At the same time the conclusion about the inadequacy of the practice of political studies to the pressing social needs is drawn. The stake on the diversity of political studies forms often led to the use of those forms that most listeners were not able to master.
