Abstract.
In the article the analysis of the debates of the House of Commons of Great Britain on the aspects of the formation and ratification of the Constitutional Treaty of the European Union in 2002-2005 is carried out. The positions of the leading parties of Great Britain are presented, their attitude towards the issue and the actions taken by them in this period are examined. The conclusions on the results of the internal political struggle concerning the treaty ratification are drawn. The impact of the political elite of Great Britain on the public while considering the Constitutional Treaty of the European Union in order to use typical euro-scepticism at the internal political level is analyzed. The attitude of the leading parties of Great Britain to the process of European integration by the example of the Constitutional Treaty of the European Union is defined as well.
