ABDUCTION IN GNOSIOLOGICAL CONTEXT

Abstract.
In the article the author tries to reveal the content and scope of the notion “abduction”, to trace some of its historical specifications beginning with the original model by Charles Peirce, and also to point out its essential and distinctive features. Also special attention is paid to the comparison of abduction with the traditional types of conclusions: significant differences and similarities are analyzed, their interrelation in research process is shown.
