REGULATING LIABILITY FOR CORRUPTION CRIMES IN THE LEGISLATION OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Abstract. On the basis of comparative and legal analysis the paper explores the specifics of regulating liability for certain corruption crimes in the criminal legislation of the People’s Republic of China. The authors examine the content of the dispositions and sanctions of the criminal and legal norms establishing liability for bribe-taking, bribe-giving and mediation in bribery provided in China’s Criminal Code. Taking into account positive law-making experience in this sphere accumulated in the country the authors formulate specific proposals and recommendations on the further improvement of the criminal and legal means to counteract corruption crimes in Russia.
