ORGAN IN CHRISTIAN LITURGY: HISTORICAL AND GENETIC ASPECT

Abstract. The article analyzes the attitude of Early Christian thinkers to music and musical instruments. The gradual strengthening of the positions of the organ connected with the changing picture of the world and the spread of this musical instrument in public practice is substantiated. The arguments of medieval philosophers in favor of using the organ in liturgy are examined.
