Abstract.
The article reveals some historical and genetic connections of rock-culture with certain moments of the musical history of the USA and Europe of the 1940-1950s - the jazz style bebop and variety music. Some features of the musical language and the peculiarities of the performance discourse of these stylistic spaces are analyzed. The moments of the generality of style formation peculiar to the rock music of the 1960-1970s and the objects of the paper analysis are traced. Some generalities in material interpretation are revealed.
