EGYPT-ISRAEL RELATIONS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 1950S: OPERATION “SUSANNAH”

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the research of the history of Egypt-Israel relations in the first half of the 1950s. The main task is to study the circumstances and peculiarities of the holding of the sabotage operation “Susannah”, which was carried out in Egypt by the Israeli intelligence. The author evaluates the events that occurred as a result of the operation “Susannah”, and reveals the importance and role of these events for the further development of Egypt-Israel relations. The justification of the main results of the studied events discloses the specificity of the trends of the subsequent development of the Middle East conflict.
