Abstract. The article examines the phenomenon of text as a mechanism of influence on the human’s consciousness contributing to the formation of the idea about spiritual world. Such varieties of texts as fiction, poetic works, proverbs and sayings have enriched the world outlook and helped in the life orientation of an individual. The author makes an attempt to show that the creative minority tried to develop positive qualities in a person with the help of texts.
