Abstract.
The article researches the phenomenon of belief in Paul Tillich’s existential philosophy. The comprehension of belief as an extreme interest of a man suggested by Paul Tillich is revealed. Such elements of belief as trust and courage are examined. Belief as a centered act of a personality transcends everyday experience. The ecstatic character of belief including the rational and unconscious elements of a man is shown. Belief is experienced as an existential of human existence.
