CASUS OF “ESTHETIC ATTITUDE TO REALITY” IN DOMESTIC ESTHETICS

Abstract.
The article determines an outline of the notion “esthetic attitude to reality” in Soviet esthetics, its sources are disclosed. The author draws a conclusion that the domestic tradition of “esthetic attitude to reality” was formed by the works of N. G. Chernyshevsky and M. A. Lifshits. As a result, in the author’s opinion, contemporary domestic studies are mainly focused not on the analysis of esthetic attitude as such, as it is presented in foreign works, but on the examination of esthetic attitude to reality, the idea about which remains unrigorous to a large extent.
