Abstract. The article analyzes the specifics of the votive (dedicatory) monuments of the Roman warriors of the principate period (the I-III centuries) that were erected to gods in acknowledgement of recovery ( pro salute ) . There are no special studies on these problems both in domestic and foreign historiographies. The author emphasizes that warriors’ dedications, in contrast to civilians’ inscriptions, contained significant traits of Romanization.
