SPECIFICS OF AVIATION INDUSTRY IN CANADA DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR

Abstract. The article examines the poorly investigated in domestic historiography aspect of Canada’s participation in the Second World War - the problem of organizing aviation industry in the dominion during the global conflict. Analyzing different indicators of Canadian aviation industry the author identifies the basic developmental tendencies of this sector in the context of Canada’s interaction with the USA and Great Britain. The paper focuses on domestic-policy and economic factors, which influenced the formation of the dominion’s aviation industry.
