Abstract.
In this work the author examines the mental aspects of the modern man’s spiritual culture. The dichotomy of people’s mental arrangements consisting in the development of universal symbols enabling to express the variety of the forms of the perception of social reality and the subsequent preservation of the worked out cultural values is marked. This fact, on the one hand, brings new tendencies into the development of socio-cultural space, on the other hand - cardinally breaks off relations with past heritage.
