INTEGRATION OF MIGRANTS IN THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN: ADAPTATION STRATEGIES AND RELATIONS WITH THE LOCAL POPULATION

Abstract.
The article analyzes the adaptation strategies of migrants and issues related to the interaction of migrants and the host population (by the example of the Republic of Tatarstan). In this context, the author studies the level of the intragroup solidarity of various groups of migrants, the peculiarities of their social contacts, factors that obstruct the interaction of migrants with the local population. The author substantiates the position that among migrants the focus mainly on ethnic isolation is retained, which contributes to the preservation of the cultural distance of migrants from the host population.
