Abstract. In the article the expediency of philosophy teaching at higher educational establishments is substantiated, and attention is drawn to the peculiarities of its teaching. The authors attract the readers’ attention to the problems, which the teachers of higher educational establishments face. It is shown that the specificity of philosophy as an academic discipline requires not only the improvement of such traditional educational forms as lectures and seminars, but also the search for more effective forms of holding classes.
