Abstract.
The article focuses on one of the aspects of scientific activity of the great scientist- encyclopedist of medieval Tibet Kunchen Zhamyan Shadpa Dorzhe. The relevance of the paper is beyond any doubt due to the fact that in the Gelug tradition the Prajnaparamita doctrine and Kunchen Zhamyan Shadpa’s personality are of special importance. However there are no fundamental researches on these issues. The Tibetan’s role in the Prajnaparamita philosophy development is still poorly investigated, consequently the research findings can be successfully applied in the sphere of philosophy, history of culture, religious studies and are valuable for the wide circle of readers interested in Buddhism and its history.
