COGNITIVE APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM OF TEXT

Abstract.
The article examines text-centred conceptions of culture by M. M. Bakhtin and Yu. M. Lotman that are the key ones for the formation and development of the cognitive theory of culture. The problem of text as a cultural form in these conceptions is studied. The methodological principles of text research in the context of cognitive culturology, whose key issue is studying those cognitive cultural forms, in which vision meanings are objectified, are revealed.
