FINE ART OF CONTEMPORANEITY: NECESSITY OR DESPAIR?

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of an actual problem - the need for contemporary fine art as self-expression of the artist’s personality. Contemporary art is considered as a mirror reflecting the surrounding reality. The boundaries of the notion “contemporary fine art” are determined, as well as its intentions and danger of entropy development in artistic creative work, which has no constructive purposes. Fundamentally important revelations of freedom criteria in artistic creative work, and importance and illusiveness of the essential for the artist notions “freedom” and “creativity” are considered.
