Abstract.
The author makes an attempt to understand enmity as a way of establishing and maintaining ontological boundaries. The main thesis of the study is formulated as a position of paradoxical possibility of overcoming enmity in an act of the subject’s acceptance of his/her finiteness and rejection of full knowledge of the world. This act serves at the same time as a point of birth of the subject as pure will to the form providing conciseness and integrity of the world. Thus, the subject is conceptualized as “living boundary” that establishes balance of enmity and love in the unique event of being.
