Abstract.
The article analyzes the process of reconstruction and development of the health care system in Sevastopol in 1921-1925. The author focuses on difficulties faced by urban medicine after establishment of the Soviet power in the Crimea, ways to overcome them and the main activities of medical institutions. It is stated that during the first years of NEP positive changes in health care were partial and didn’t allow creating a public system of health care of the city population. Historical sources used in the paper are introduced for scientific use for the first time.
