Abstract.
Relying on the classical encyclopedic definition of genius the paper concludes on its categorial apparatus and peculiarities, which allows describing creative process in general. The author proceeds from a thesis that just at the genius’s level integration of the identified features into new quality occurs. Since creative process has both conscious and unconscious aspects the article pays special attention to the genius’s meditative ability that makes it possible to involve a special ideal stratum in his/her activity.
